2003 V8 with about 145K miles. Nearly all the cooling parts were replaced about 10k miles ago other than the radiator and water pump.

Based on the location of what appears to be coolant, I'm assuming a new water pump is in order. Anyone know around how much a dealer would charge to install? IMAG0487.jpgIMAG0488.jpg

It could be, or it might be from something above it. If it were the shaft seal on the pump, I would expect it to sling the coolant everywhere.
Anyway, if it is the pump, water pump replacement on the gen II V8 is very easy to do. It might not take you more than half an hour. A dealer will probably charge - 1 hour labor, shop supplies, water pump at markup, and maybe coolant at markup.

Thanks for the responses. It does appear to have "slung" it a bit but onto both sides of the front of the block and shot some up onto the bottom of the thermostat housing. I noticed this a few days ago and actually cleaned it off but now it's back so it's a consistent leak. I'm not overheating or anything but obviously I need to get it fixed asap. I figure at 140k I'll need a water pump at some point anyway so I'll probably get one from Tasca and take it into the local dealer to have it checked and hope it's the water pump.

When replacing the water pump, do I need any special tools and should I use any type of sealant on the gasket? Finally, will I have to bleed the system afterwards?
