Hey guys. I am relatively new to this forum and the LS in general.
I bought a 2004 LS back in Oct '10 and so far I really enjoy the car.
Couple of things that are going on with my car at the moment as well as some general questions that I think this community would be best suited answering.
I have read through a lot of the threads, especially the "Real owners manual" and found a lot of good information. Although I still have some specific things that I know may be redundant questions but forgive me!!
- I have the "Ultimate edition". Does this also mean I have the sports package? I really want to get the pin-striping removed. Looks so ugly.
- I recently had a trailer hitch go through my front bumper and leave a horrendously ugly hole. What is the best way to replace this? Should I try to patch it, buy a new bumper (can I find them pre-painted?), should I upgrade to the LSE bumper, will this fit my model (I am under the impression that it will from a previous thread.)?
- Check engine light recently came on; stopped by an auto-parts shop and borrowed the code reader. The car kind of has jolty acceleration. (Perfect example: driving on the freeway, lane next to me clears up, apply more pressure to the accelerator to move quickly into the next lane but the car somewhat hesitates). P0108, (P0108 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor/BARO sensor). I had a buddy at work whos pretty good with cars suggest using MAF cleaner; didn't do much. From some initial research it looks like the MAP sensor is housed in the ERG?
- I was never informed by the dealership of what my code for keyless entry was. I found an article on another website that stated there is paneling that I have to peel back near the drivers seat to locate this?
- I have noticed that my LS rides pretty rough for the type of car it is. After looking through the "Real Owner's manual" it looks like the bushings are a usual suspect when it comes to this. Was not sure if it was just the thudding or an actual harder ride.
- Sometimes my rear blinkers will not light up when unlocking the car with the remote key.
- When shifting into reverse from manual there is a loud clunk coming from the bottom of the vehicle.
