Ok so I have a 1995 Lincoln Continental. Recently, after stopping at a gas station, I went to turn the car off only to find that the key would turn back to the off position and come out without turning the car off. I ended up having to turn the car off by pulling a variety of fuses. I figured, ok the ignition switch needs to be replaced. So i swap it out with a brand new wells one. Much to my dismay, no luck. I have noticed that the key turns extrmely loosely, and after examining where the ignition switch attaches to under the steering wheel, i found that the piece with the hole where the metal post that comes out of the ignition switch goes moves foreward only, not back. any ideas anyone? what type of screwdriver is needed to remove the bottom plastic part of the steering wheel?
