ignition switch want turn

Hey I got a 2001 ls the ignition switch want turn sometimes when I put the key in the key is ok it will open the door find what's up with this how do I fix it

I assume that you mean the key "won't" turn. I don't think that keys are capable of having "wants."

The end result was that he had to change out the lock cylinder.

give the ignition switch and door locks a shot of silicone lubricant, like Purple Max Max film and work the key. the tumblers do start to stick which will keep the switch from turning.

dont worry about your poor spelling, many will correct your mistakes on this site.
