What do you guys think of a 96 LSC w/56k miles and an air suspension working in great order......how long before it goes KABOOM!!!!:shifty:

I was considering the 1.5 drop kit from american air, but then i thought about it, maybe this air suspension can last another year or two..? It doesn't sag, no issues, i did get the passenger siide to be almost even with the drivers, the sensor i adjusted again and now it's good. It used to be 1 inch higher then drivers side.

Keep the money??..spend it on maintence items...i need tires aswell.

Spend your money on items you "need". What you have now should last for another 50k or so.

I agree with getting a spider valve.

There is no real way to tell how long it will last though. My car made it to about 80k miles and 11-12 years or so before needing new bags. My Mark VII had 120k and was about 15 years old before needing bags. You have pretty low miles but the bags are still close to 14 years old.

Ya, its not so much the miles its also the age. I bet someone could easily put 200k on a set of bags if they did so in less than 5 years of driving. But if I bought a low milage 96 I would not count on them lasting for more than a couple years at best.

Tommy put 200k on a set of bags...

right at...
I started having problems around 170-180K with fronts, I procrastinated and it cost me a compressor as well..

between 180 and 200K my rears died and again cost me a compressor because I was a dumbass and procrastinated.

which is why I always say procrastination isn't your friend when it comes to air ride, I'm speaking from experience.

need to check my parts... not sure what I have anymore. bring what you got (or can get), I'll make it work.
