On my 1994 Continental, when I run the A/C and the compressor goes to kick in, it almost stalls the car out, but not quite. It continues to do this only while the A/C is running and I only have a problem when it is at idle.

It seems like the car is not being told to idle higher when the A/C is turned on. It has done this for a while but I have only now gotten to the point of really wanting it fixed.

Any ideas??? Thanks!

you might clean the IAC or replace it. I belive its on the top of the upper intake right at the throttle body. notorious for getting clogged and not letting enough air flow, or slow in response to computer signalling it to open more.

It has a pretty new IAC motor in it as that it what I thouht it was at first, but I took it off today anyway and the holes are all clear.

Could it possibly be the ECM?
