Idled car for 8 hours straight -- issues?

2006 LTC. It was left running all night long. I had an emergency and forgot about it. At least I'm not blaming the wife like I see many other posts on the internet.

There were no heat issues in the car according to the guage.

There is a lot of plastic smell coming from the engine, but nothing like it's burning.

I checked the oil and that is fine.

It drank a quarter of a tank of gas.

Is there anything I should be concerned besides my memory?

I'm going to take it to a mechanic tomorrow, or is this unnecessary? I realize engines are designed to run, but just want to be cautious.

If it were mine it just do a normal check of fluids than take her out for a little thrashing you know full throttle pulls.
I my opinion if this isn't a regular thing its fine.

LOL... you can only imagine how much idling time TC limos do.

It'll be just fine.
