Ok I searched but did not find anything that matched my situation.

I just scanned my ecu for any cel and found these codes p1504 and p1507 both are idle air control. When driving the car I noticed that it feels sluggish and kinda miss fires. The person who sold me the car just installed a new idle air control. Should I wipe the codes clean and see if that cures the issue? Or do I have bad coils? I don't know what to do. Also the check engine light is not on. Even when I put the key into the ON position I can't see it.

What to do?

Sorry if this is a nub question. I always had Jap cars. Thanks

clean the iac, clear the codes, try again. if it doesn't fix it, and you think the coils are the problem, ohm out the coils. if they aren't within spec then replace them. its basic stuff thats pretty much the same even on a jap car.

iac is a 2 weeks old. Last owner replaced it and i'm unsure if codes where wiped out or not.

What should the coils ohm out at?

first of all replace the light on your dash they hardly burn out so either the light was on for a long time and it burned out or it was removed. and how do you know he replaced it, did he tell you or where you there when he did it and if he told you where did he get it and does he have a reciept so you can return it just in case it was a bad part.
