Ideal 90K-mi service?

So beyond normal maintenance, like oil change and checking air filters and belts, and also beyond the marketing stuff like "Multi-point super BLT inspection with spicy mayo", what should a 90K-mi service really include?

To me I'm thinking the following:
Fuel Filter
Trans Flush
Coolant Flush
Alignment Check (only because it seems to be pulling slightly more lately)


I had an oil change 1500-mi ago. Alignment was done last June when I had the adjustable coilovers put on. Tires were balanced and rotated about 3500-mi ago. I don't care for dealer wipers or paying for their air/cabin filters. They all want to add some sort of additive to the oil and fuel but i'm not convinced they will do much. Oil was changed basically every 5K-miles with Motorcraft semi-synth and I usually burn Shell gas in it. Plus a bottle of techron would probably be cheaper anyways.

Thoughts? Opinions?

The service schedule at 90K miles says:

Change engine oil and replace oil filter.
❑ Inspect tires for wear and rotate.
❑ Inspect brake pads/shoes/rotors/drums, brake
lines & hoses, and parking brake system.
❑ Inspect wheel ends for endplay and noise.
❑ Inspect engine cooling system and hoses.
❑ Inspect exhaust system and heat shields.
❑ Inspect steering linkage, ball joints, suspension
and half shafts, driveshaft and
u-joint.
❑ Replace engine air filter
❑ Replace fuel filter
❑ Replace cabin air filter
❑ Replace climate-controlled seat filters
❑ Multi-point inspection (recommended)

Joe: That seems wrong. No trans flush at all? And unless something is hanging off the car the dealers around here just assume it's good.


Eots: Had new coils/plugs put in around 75K-mi.

Oh ok, sorry I meant to put in assuming you hadn't recently done them. By the way no trans flush does seem odd, I'm no LS expert, but I thought it was relatively similar mileage across the board.

The trans was designed to go 150K between flushes. That said, the person responsible for the trans calibration recommended every ~30K miles.
