So I have a 00 Continental with a boxed & ported Kicker L7 12" 1500w with a MMATS Class D Amp 1400w. Stock radio with a Rockford gizmo. Sub rear facing. My problem is that it just seems like the trunk eats up so much of the sound produced by the sub. I mean if I open the trunk the bass will rattle your teeth out when you stand behind the car, but when the trunk is closed, the bass inside the car just isn't as loud as I feel it should be.
Idea. Has anyone experimented with porting the trunk to the cabin?
Or does anyone have a better idea?

I have the same question. I am having the same problem with my LS and was wondering if porting the trunk is worth doing.

i personally dont think that porting the truck is a very good idea...from my personal experience i didnt like the way it sound. the bass was almost to raw...if that makes any sence
