Been reading around on the forum and I believe I've narrowed it down to either a dirty throttle body/iac valve or a faulty IAC valve. On three cold starts over about a months time, I've had issues with getting the car to idle. After a little pressure on the gas peddle, the car will kick into a normal idle. Is this a faulty IAC valve, or do I need to clean the throttle body and intake??

What year is your car and what mileage?
It wouldn't hurt to clean up all three since you're right there.

1999 Lincoln Town Car, and I will do that tomorrow. Will the IAC Valve show signs of wear, or will it go out completely??

It usually ends up sticking.
You can check it out when you pull it out. It.probably has a coating of oil in it from the PCV system.
