if you have a first gen mark 8 i would look in to getting a first or second gen LS... you can probably get one for the price you paid for that contour....

they are awesome cars.. and will probably had your first gen mark 8 its ass stock for stock

I paid 1500 for the contour, its bb'd at 3000 almost. LS's are pieces(no offense) and No definately not. I ran a 14.50 stock. I have yet to see one do that stock.
 
Do yourself a favor, sell your Mark and go drive a Honda, much more fitting for a little kid like you.
 
why would you buy a contour? it has like 20+ something recalls all having to do with the car catching on fire. it knows it shouldn't be, so it is doing you a favor
