I'm looking for a 12v 5 amp constant power supply in a 1991 Town Car to use for an alarm. I'm not very good at reading electrical schematics. Can anyone help?

I ended up using the jack for the cable to the engine bay lightbulb. I've had a bulb in it ever so it was available. Seems to be working well.

umm alarm? you get all of the wires you need from under the steering column amperage doesnt matter much but volts do. one thing i have noticed is that Fords Lincolns and Mercerys have voltage drop problems

just get it str8 from the battery, thats the most reliable and constant source or power!!!

Thanks, I wasn't sure if the amperage mattered or not. I thought of using a power source from under the dash but I wanted it contained within the engine bay. And yeah, the voltage drop is sometimes a pain. I usually have to leave the voltage monitoring function off because it triggers too often.
