1.
took off the valve cover to change the gasket and there are (2) different sytle bolts, (4) are long and the rest at the shorter ones, I know that(2) of the long ones go on the top wherethe fuel line plastic clip goes over, but where do the other (2) go on?

2. Also,do the gaskets need to be torqued or just tighten normally?

3. Can I put the black gasket sealer on the plastic cover so it can seal the rubber gasket before I put the cover on the engine? Another words, instead of trying to put on the gasket and it keep falling while i try to install it on the engine, can i just seal the gasket to the plastic cover?

ok, well it seems like the top (4) in the corner by the fuel rail is where the long bolts go, now, can someone help me answer #2 and #3 from my question?

the Bolts Retain the gasket to the valve cover... if you use the RTV to hold the gasket on it will most likely LEAK... look at the gasket the bolts holds the gasket to the valve cover, the only place the RTV goes is were the Timing chain cover meats the HEAD!

I didnt torque the bolts i just tightened them... the sleave on the bolts stop you from over torquing but dont put alot of force on it... you will get a feel for it.

make sure you dont over tighten them, remember you are tightening down on rubber so it will compress. you can strip the bolts if you over tighten, just a tip

There is a torque spec for it, but its so light you dont even need to bother with a wrench or anything. You'll feel it when they're tight because they'll stop turning, when you hit that point, stop tightening.
Do NOT tighten them down all the way all at once or you could crack the valve cover.
Always, always, ALWAYS start in the middle and work your way out in a circular motion. Turn each bolt in by hand until it's finger tight. Then turn each bolt only one turn at a time until they are all tight.

The new gasket has little grips that will hold it in place inside the lip of the valve cover. Don't use any kind of sealant on a rubber gasket or it could cause a leak.
