ok nothing major but the first day Im gone she calls me and says that its leaking water.I come home a month later and drive it and it is.The overflow is "overflowing" about a quart when you drive it for say 20 minutes.I does that and Im having a hard time getting it to do so again.Basically its really hard for me to pinpoint the problem here. Also where the hell is the thermostat and could that be the problem? Last year it had a leak and I used stop leak and it fixed it.I gotta go back out of town for 2 more weeks and want to get this fixed before i go.

no this is a water leak..and I dont believe i have an oil filter adapter gasket as I dont have a remote oil filter

And where oil filter adapter gasket is there is also an opening for coolant. It really should be called the oil/coolant adapter plate.

I know exactly what the problem is, because its happened to me....

YOU LEFT YOUR CAR WITH YOUR GIRL!

What's wrong with you

My girlfriend crashed playing with the tomtom (no damage) and couldn't get of the driveway on 2 occasions (broken passengers corner marker) and no damage the 2nd time....again....

DON'T LEAVE IT!

more info..........?..............it leaked once and won't do it again? Where is the coolant level now( I'm assuming your not really using just water) Simple stuff first; was is over filled, bad cap, thermostat ok? That leak fill cr*p might take out your heater core along with other issues. Where was the leak that was fixed with the sealer garbage? Pump might be going, who knows, need more info.

DON'T LEAVE IT!

A little advice...it doesn't get any cheaper when you marry them. :D

oh my god you guys are nuts....hehe.Yea I know dont leave it with the girl but it was either that or long term parking at the airport.....I dunno,I burped the crossover yesterday and added some more coolant-not water-and it seems to be fine.Where does the temp needle get on you guys' rides?Mine has always been a little high(sometimes the "o") however its staying in the r now.

ok, just wanna rule out the simple stuff, you know how women are *slapped by wife* so did you find the prob? bad tank, cap?

well chicken not sure how to check the tank and cap.Im kinda cheap so i am not one to just go start buying stuff.Like I said i burped her again and I think its fine. She says it happens with the air cond. off which to me is a little wierd.I need to try that and see what happens.Mine gauge stays in the r most of the time-how about yours? I hear these gauges tend to run a little high....

My car runs at normal temp in the M, but I've read that some people have cars that run all over the place, so I wouldnt be so sure.

I was having all sorts of overheating problems because I'm an idiot and didn't burp the system properly, 20 bucks later my mechanic (somehow) got my crossover cap off and replaced it, added coolant and new oil as well...

my car overheated so bad it melted my oil to a little thicker than water, I stalled out in front of a restaurant that was victim of a driveby the day before yikes!

First of all you should never use stop leak that stuff is terrible for your cooling system. Its probably just a bad reservoir cap its just not relieving the pressure properly, my continental does the same thing I just haven't fealt like buying a new one cause it doesn't do it all the time.

I did the same thing when I replaced my thermostat and like an idiot I replaced my water pump and my radiator before asking one of my teachers at school for help.
