I have some 18" jag wheels with 49mm offset wrapped in 235/50/zr18 tires. Too big?

rims came with 235/50/zr18 tires. Planning on lowering the ls, but do I have to get different tires for better lowering?

18" 49mm offset rims.

I live down south if that helps

Nope. Same offset as my Jag Cygnus rims. Mine are 18" with +49mm offset and have 245/45R18 tires. There shouldn't be much of a difference really between 235/50 and 245/45 tires.

Any pics?

Some of the old rims. My home server blew up and I haven't bothered recovering it yet. The old and new rims are the same, with the exception of the new ones having no curb rash:

The only time I hear the tires scrub is when I hit a dip and bottom the suspension out. Since you aren't supposed to do that any ways I don't worry about it.
