I have a feeling Mark VIII owners have no clue

I just Don't understand how you all can listen to this lms guy who everytime someone has a question he makes a plug for his produst when, I call him over 234 times to ask a ? and get no return, he never answers his phone or calles you back. Heck I live in east tennesse and own a dyno and can get more power than him without pulling it to the max. I realley hope you arent buying parts from him he don't want to help he just wants a deep pocket. I have called over 234 times leaving messeage after message asking about parts. There are Just so many guys out there who has had YEARS AND YEARS more tuning on the four valves. If he is so good let him go up against SHM and see who does better. I am just tired of someone asking a question and the next thing he chimes in buy this PART FROM ME. They didn't ask that they ask a question, not have some late night infomercial chime in leave it alone dude, everyone knows you are there and charge an arm leg, nuts and first born for your parts. Sorry to rant just dude leave it alone till someone asks for you and your parts.:soapbox:
 
Who exactly are you talking about? I don't live out that way so I really don't have a clue.
 
Geno from lincoln Motor sports look back at evry thread asking a question and he chimes in buy my part they are the best. If it was the best youwouldn't have to steal everyone's thread selling your parts. If they are truely good they will sell themselfs
 
Well, he does plug his parts from time to time I guess, He has also given people some good advice when it comes to their Mark VIII's. I ordered a chip from him & there were issues getting it to work, He answered his phone when I called & if not then he did return my message. I can tell you that even though my particular chip didn't work for my car, he did refund every penny including the paypal fees. So I would say that he is an honest guy. Others seem to really like his products, I never purchased anything else from him so I can't speak about his other products, only his honesty. There are many members who have purchased many items from him & are very happy with his parts & service.

Just out of curriosity, Why would you call him 234 times?

Ive spoken to him many times and his help has been invaluable. I also have a number of his products on my car and am quite happy both with the quality of the product and the services he has provided.
 
I like the emblems, but when it comes to making new parts, i could fab up something faster for sure! and his demands are rediculous. like the gen 2 mark hood, he wants your hood plus an untold amount of money.. basically, he wants you to help him make a product that he will sell and wants you to pay top dollar for helping him out? also the Air box chamber thing he was going on about for a while..

But other than that and the rediculously high prices, he seems fairly knowlegable.. so i cant complain. just my .02
 
From what I've seen when he suggests one of his products, it's usually because someone is asking.

'What's the best...?'
'I want another exhaust, can someone tell me where to get a good one?'
'What can I buy to make my car faster?'

While I'm sure LMS is well known to many people here, I woulnd't go as far as saying everyone knows. I don't see why you'd expect him or any other business man to wait for the customers to go to him. It's just a bad business decision to not advertise.
 
This is why I got my Chip from Torrie. Two weeks to get a call back is insane, I can only imagine the tune. Me and Torrie had lots of communication over three days to get it right.
 
Guys, realize that Geno has his time and money invested in these products, his hoods are one of a kind and he must pay someone to fab up these hoods for him. He wants a minimum order because he probably can't afford to have money tied up in parts just setting on his shelves like the bigger names can. If you have a problem with Geno or LMS or have had a bad experience with either, you're more than willing to post it here. But lets not slander the guy, he is a businessman after all, it's hard to please everyone. I've dealt with Geno on one occasion so far, and had no problem getting in contact with him.

Also, remember Geno is one of the founding members of LVC, show him some respect, he is an asset to LVC and will continue to be for years to come, I'm sure. If this were the .org site and you were saying these things about Cal, you'd no longer be a member. Just something to think about.

Also, saying that you feel that Mark VIII owners have no clue, won't get you any browning points here!
 
as a business grows,the owner's time shrinks. Geno is a very busy person! if you will notice,a lot of the time he is on here very late at night(when he finally has time).

BTW, would you have known that WARLOCK CUSTOMS exists if i didn't make posts about custom lighting and have all my contact info in my signature????

the best way to reach him is via pm on here if you can't get him on the phone.
his products are top notch. yes, they are expensive somewhat, but we are talking about custom parts for a somewhat small market. suppliers charge outrageously for small runs on parts (if you can even get them to do a small run), then you have to make sure quality is up to par,get them to deliver on time,process orders,take care of shipping, returns,concerns,questions,advertising,phones ringing,and the list goes on!

he also owns and operates COBRASTAR MULTIMEDIA,so with 2 businesses going at the same time, it's double the hassle for him.
give the guy a break,he caters to a specific market(ours) and if he didn't where would we be? BONE STOCK. it's not just modular performance parts,it's custom lincoln parts!
 
As for the title of this "I have a feeling Mark VIII owners have no clue" if they have no clue do research not just listen the first guy that chimes in. You need to do research of your own. As for Geno he seams honest to me for the little I have dealt with him. If you don’t like his price go somewhere else its that simple.
 
i agree..have nothing but good to say about geno and LMS..has been very helpful and consider his products top of the line
 
I guess the lesson of this thread is that its perfectly acceptable to run a business by not returning phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner. And that owing a business is a "hassle". Therefore doing other things besides being hassled by potential customers is more important?

(yeah, going heavy on the sarcasm there) ;)

And here I was taught to never bite off more than you can chew!

i dunno why he didn't get back to ya as soon as you wanted him to. i'm just saying that there is a lot going on behind the scenes that you guys should consider.

Based on your screen name here, one would assume, that is of course, if they had a clue, (most Mark VIII owners don't according to you), that you are in possession of a Mach of some sort. Either that, or you think your '94 Mark came with a Mach engine. Or just maybe, based on your avatar, you switched out the Mark engine and dropped in a Mach engine, while at the same time changing out the 'c' heads so you could make the 'b' heads work with the stock intake, thereby allowing you to keep the awesome plastic cover thingy that says Mark VIII. Wow.

So if you are going to come on this board and start sh!t, back it up.

You got a dyno. Can we see a pic? Is it in your garage?

Any dyno pulls so you can show us how much power you are making? More than us without trying, so you claim!

Show me, don't whine to us about not getting a call back and how you're all that.

I was being a bit sarcastic.

But to respond to you, if a person is running a business they have an image they are expect to maintain. After all, retail deals with the open public. No business can be run perfectly and you can not make everyone happy. Thats a given. But having "excuses" that there are "behind the scene" going ons is NOT valid.
 
Gino/LMS is an exceptional Guy and knowledgeable too

Only due too to my car continuing to incurr other expenses, have I not done even more business with Gino. The other day for example I couldn't remember the gap he recommended for our Autolight plugs. He put me on hold for a while. When he got back to me he apologized for the delay. He has answered many questions of mine regarding his exhaust and maf etc. In my opinion, he always tries to help anyone out on the website. Then some people respond very RUDELY. I personally don't know where gets all the patience he has. Then there's a complaint if he recommends one of his own products to resolve a particular situation. He is a Vendor on this site. Max and others chime in, in the same fashion. I stand behind him. Lastly look at his Ebay record, it's extraordinary.

i'll agree with that,and he should have contacted both of you or anyone else that needs something or has a question. i was just trying to shed some light on the complexity of owning a business(or 2),not trying to make excuses for him. maybe he should hire some help,at least to answer the phones or something,i dunno that's his call.

Lets just end it here, He is a good guy.. EVERY business has its bad customers due to bad experiences.. Its a fact that a bad experience with a business spreads faster than a good one, especially in this occasion.

Agree, He does "plug in" his products wherever he can.
Agree, He is a good guy and a pioneer when it comes to custom parts.
Agree, His prices may be high but at a good quality..

Anyone else want to elaborate on something we can all AGREE on? No more opinions, it is simply the facts that are important. and i know i am being a bit hipocritical, since i opened up with an opinion of my own. So for that i apologize.

you didn’t come on with an opinion you came on with a rant. Do you think that we look kindly to "mark owners have no clue" that does not sound like a way to get peoples attention so they listen to you or your opinion just a way to cause an argument

If you want people to here you out say your opinion in a nicer way
