Well I drove 2 hours to go buy a very appealing Lincoln LS to find out that the guy sold it WHILE I was driving there. What a dick, right?

Well My buddy emailed me a Craigslist ad with a LS, very clean, 160k miles (70% of them high way because the guy travels all over the place), everything works. Tranny will need to be serviced sooner or later.

Heres the link. As long as no one beats me to it tomorow, I plan on getting it and he said as soon as I get out of school (around 1) I can come look at it and drive it.

I trust none of you to buy it in the morning lol. There are alot of other people going to look at it this weekend and im just trying to beat them.

The guy said he is a neat freak so it has always stayed clean, he is 48 which means it was more than likely driven easy, the motor is sound. Only flaw with it is that he says like if he runs to a convinence store or something, backs out of the space, sometimes it will take it a second to go back into drive but then drives nice. It has never been serviced. Do you all think that if I have it serviced that it would solve this issue?

The trans issue sounds like the solenoid pack.

As for a 48 year old driving easy, I've had an LS since I was 43 (I'm now 53) and have rarely driven them easily. I take corners at well over (sometimes twice) the posted speed. The only time I hit the speed "limit" is on the on and off ramps. My freeway cruising speed is 80+.

Just 'cause some of us are "old" doesn't mean we don't like to have fun!!

Well I believe there is a difference between your every day travel business man and alot of people on here that actually like working on their cars.

My dad is 42 and Drives a Nissan Armada, he takes that thing to the drag strip. Although, theres a difference between you all, and your every day 16 year old that likes to get cars airborn and side ways and blah blah... I've been there, and im over it.

There's nothing like the 4-wheel drift I get into every day on the 270º on ramp! I won't get airborne, but you can bet I push it! I wear out tires about every 20K miles.

Yeah sounds like just a solenoid. Mine does it in drive here and there and sometimes in reverse, Use to do it a lot more but it stopped a lot after a tune.

Thats a lot of miles to start of with. Maybe you want find a gen2 that still has a warranty. Wish I had done that but oh well

A 48 year old with chrome pillars? Maybe he bought it and doesn't like it and just wants to unload it on someone.
