I plan on getting a Mark VIII sometime in the near furture(2-4 years).
I'm just wondering what mods can be done, other than a different rear end, to boost up the HP and Torque noticeably(15hp or more).
I'd be looking t 96-98 LSC Mark VIII's...

thanks for any input!

...I'd really suggest you try searching through the website because you'll find the answer to your question in tremendous detail that way.

But, in short you can install a performance chip, have it tuned, replace the exhaust, new headers, change the air intake, you could add a supercharger or nitrous. Those are some of the easier and obvious things.

And as far as the rear end goes you would want to change gears and add a trac lok, not change the actual rear end.

that's what I meant...
I think 3.27 is good enough...I wouldn't go to 3.55, but maybe 3.73 or more.

now lets see...
Supercharger/nitrous-Nope, don't need anything that extreme.
Headers and new exhaust-sure, I'd do that.
Chip-I've heard of it, I'd prolly do that, too.
Intake-Intake tube and cone filter? sure...any other intakes you can buy for them?

I'd like to only spend a total of about $2K or so.

Don't worry about the search... Sure it available but unlike other sites... We don't mind answering questions... And LvC members will not Flame you for not searching.... Which does happen on other sites.
