the other day i decided on bypassing the hose from the heater core. i had a hard time removing the hose from the the core,so what i did was remove the cowl, trany dip stick and the intake cover. i grabed the garden hose and rinsed out the core from the tubes but i didn't realize the water was spashing around the intake and inside the trany tube:eek: i know i know I'm a idiot should i drain out the trany im not so worried about the intake I'm pretty sure the pcv will remove any moisture Im just worried about the trany for now and i reall don"t have the cash to be spending on oil right now. THX peace

Only you know how much water got in there. If it was more than a sip, then I'd play it safe and replace the fluid.

^^ This.

I'd just drain/refill the trans fluid if you're not sure. Water and ATF go together almost as well as water and electricity. Hell, most people are due for a fluid change whether they realize it or not anyway...

Don't worry about a bit of water in the intake, it'll just burn off the next time your car runs. In fact, pouring a bit of water down a running (non-MAF) car's intake is a method of removing combustion chamber carbon buildup...
