I burned the crap out my hand.

I was driving my Attorney to a deposition, I got stuck in a large parking lot. looking for the right office.
Then my TC started to over heat.
Turn out we were a day early , so we head out with my car still stilling on H
I stop at a gas station by my Dad's office .

I go get a rag and start opening the little tank a top of the radiator .... as I am turning it I keep thinking this is a bad thing to do.
The cap & rag blow off 20 feet in the air . I get covered with anti-freeze
in my mouth, face hand .

The topper is I think my fan Stopped over a month ago. and it never got hot unless I turned on the AC.

I got a new fan motor , from Auto-Zone and put it in with my burned Hand.
with a little help from my son

But the over heating or the burns weren't the bad part of this story... it was the "A" word... Please tell me that it was the closest auto parts store and it was right across the street...

I had never been Auto Zone, but I called Napa Auto they don't answer the phone after 8pm

Kragens had the same part but for more Money and they had to order it.

The Zone had the part at a good price and life time replacement .

I type with these two hands, smartass. If you'd know anything about burns, you'll know the back of the hands aren't from being some old fart. They are wrinkly because when you heal hand burns such as these, you have to heal with your hands in a fist, otherwise the skin wont stretch enough if you heal the hands open.

No offense Frogman, I would have thought that you would have known better. I know with the old style caps, that certain ones you can work them and release the pressure. But with the new type, I haven't even attempted it. Thanks for biting the bullet and living out there on the edge. Witch has allowed us to realize, not to try this particular procedure. I know its an old clique but, Alovera. It works real well. Heal up soon man.

Oh, these aren't coolant burns. They are fire burns.

I do know better, that's why I use Waterless coolant.
