yea since i dont have high hopes of being able to repair the oil leak in my engine with out removing the engine im am goin to be on a quest to find a manual transmisson that will bolt up to the 2000 Ls v8 i cant stand the mediocrity of driving an automatic. any and all insight or opinions and inputs are welcome.

Seems to me you should be able to make just about any manual transmision work. But you'll need to fab an adapter plate to be able to mate it to the block. Then figure out a way to trick the computer into thinking that the auto trans is still there, even though its not. The computer recieves feedback from the auto trans telling it which gear its in. If it can't communicate it will puke a CEL.

If youre able to find a V6 manual in a junkyard, snag the peddles and clutch master/reservior from it.
And the shift boot.

97stscaddy covered my comment about electrics. Could be more of a challenge than expected.

Too bad the Jag 6 speed is an auto......not sure what gearbox to suggest....
