My hvac unit is going crazy. When I turn it on max a/c, instead of blowing out of the panel, it blows out of the defrost or vent. Also when I turn it on 90 degrees it does the same. I noticed that playing with my blower motor wire made it blow out of the panel. Sometimes it blows only out of the panel and other times it blows out of the panel and the defrost. Any suggestions on what I should look at?

I agree, but to be more specific look at the passenger side firewall. There will be a small black vacuum line entering there - make sure its intact.

I was looking around at those suspecting them to be of some sort of help. I noticed some short of valve with three spots for vacuum lines. Would this be result of a completely broken line, cracked... or?

exact same problem as me- tell me when you fix it so you can save me time from searching. lol

Yeah, i talked to a dealer guy and he said it is for sure vacuum. I just need to trace the lines to the vacuum canister and check the lines for any leaks or cracks.

Ya... all you can do is check the lines for now.

Have any radio work done recently? It is possible the vacuum harness on the back of the unit is loose or disconnected.

I pulled my aftermarket radio and just jammed the connectors back down there when I put the stock radio back in. Im thinking it may have pinched one of the lines.

You cant really pinch a line, they are more like hard plastic straws - my guess is the connector on the back of the unit is off.

I remember repairing that line atop the engine not too long ago just because it was looking ragged. I will take my intake tube off tonight to see if it's broken further down and to check the other lines.
