Just ordered the Energy bushings for my sway bar to finally rid of all the noises. Just did my rear right bearing and now that it's super quiet, the clunks are super loud and apparent haha.
I am wondering where all you guys get your tools? I am just looking for a cheap metric ratcheting box end set for this job. I hardly use the standard sized ones that I have as it is, so cheap is fine lol.
Also to those who have swapped the bushings: After taking the bolts off, do the bushings slide off the end of the sway bar and back on that way as well? Or do you cut them off and how does the new one get on? The threads I've read about them don't explain that, so I'm assuming it's self explanatory.
Since buying the car in rugged shape mechanically my list of repairs to do has shrunk to:
-Front left upper control arm/ball joint (in the mail)
-Sway bar bushings (just ordered)
-VCG's
- Clock spring
- eventually the timing chain tensioners just to be safe. only at 88k right now.
- minor cosmetic stuff
