Humming in rear end

Has anyone else experienced this? At highway speeds it sounds like there is a humming coming from the rear end. I don't notice it while crusing arond town but it is definetly there at high speeds and the pitch will change as speed increases. I have a 2001 LS V8 Sport if that makes a difference. It only has 43000 miles. Thanks in advance for any help.

Could be cupped tires. Have you checked them?

Yes, the tires look good.
