I have some aftermarket rims, Dante Designs from 2004.
I got hub ring adapters with them, and they help with installing (which with the deep narrow wells for the lugs, tough to install without). I know the wheels are lug centric as they have tapered lugs.
Over the years I have slowly lost 2 of the adapters, mainly not being reinstalled when getting tires mounted. I also have developed a shake at speeds well in excess of what is prudent to drive, but I still hit it at times.
From my notes when I got the wheels, I was going to get 63.9mm to 70.4mm adapter rings. But these are what I have:
Closest but too tight I can find are 63.9 to 71.12. I guess this is what I should get, and somehow narrow them (sand paper, file?)?
I also plan on installing Cobra rear rotors. The fronts don't seem to need anything for the hub since the hub has a step, but the rears would. So I would like a set of adapters for the rotors, and if need be, also for the wheels.
