How to replace the headlight switch without breaking anything?

Somehow my headlight switch cracked on my 03 LS so I bought a new one & was wondering how to change it out without breaking anything? I tried to search, but can't find anything...

I just don't want to crack the wood surround or anything trying to pry it off if it doesn't actually come off.

There are 3 pins that hold up the steering wheel retainer, then you can remove the cover over the switch.

For a better explanation and pictures, online 06 workshop manual. Go to electrical,then lighting, then exterior lighting, then removal/installation, then headlamp switch.
