How to Replace shift NOb is it easy?

on my automatic, you just pullthe black piece with chrome trim straight down, to expose 2 screws. Loosen those, remove knob.

ok but i have the leather nob shift on a 2002 ls lincoln automatic

is the leather shift nob the same as the wood shift nob as far as taking them off a 2002 ls lincoln?

I have the leather one as well. at the bottom of the leather, you'll see a chrome ring, and black plastic under that. Those are just pressure fitted to the leather knob.

i want to buy the hardwood nob..really nice with the rest of my hardwood and also a lincon is good for how many miles

no wrench... just remove the damn screws man! All you need is a screwdriver!

Here it is, NYC :D

Step 1. pull down on the lower plastic piece of the shift knob:

Step 2. locate 2 screws that have now become uncovered:

Step 3. Remove screws, and remove knob.

Reverse steps when installing new one!

I'm bored at work, and it's actually nice out for once... 50 degrees and sunny!
