Did a search and didn't find anything useful...
So, how do I remove CDs from the 6 cd changer in my 2004 LS?
Is there a tiny hole to poke like with a PC? or some button combination?
My CD player has been getting alittle flakey, it plays OK and then seems to get confused and then switches over to radio.
Now, this week, I think it is dead. I got a clicking sound from the player after selecting a different # disc. it kept clicking even after I truned the car off and opened the doors.
Next time I started the car, the display showed Error initialization. And then the player switched to radio and stays ONLY on radio. I cannot select the CD player at all now, it just cycles thru AM FM1 FM2 and back to AM.
The 6 CDs still show up on the display but I cannot get them to eject or get anything from the player.
One interesting thing, I didn't think the stereo had power to it when the ignition was off and doors open, but I can push the Eject button and the CD player will display and initializing message and click a lot. So it seems there is power to the changer all the time. Don't know if that means you can play the stereo even without the car running or recently shut off. Don't think this has anything to do with my problem, but interesting.
So What to Do?
Thanks,
Jim Henderson
