What the quickest way to get 450 hp out the mark i cant find any parts who should i talk to somebody help.

Swap in an 03 Cobra motor with a 6lb lower....

What are you trying to do with your car? There are lots of ways to reach 450hp but most of them arent going to happen with the stock bottom end. You really need to give some clearer goals on what you are trying to accomplish and how much you want to spend.

Basically supercharge it and beef everything up to handle it. Look at shops like MMR and Lincoln Motor sports, Super coupe performance. Spend a few hours reading some of the larger threads about these topics....or buy a mustang.

While people can claim the engine wont handle the HP it all depends on the tune pretty much. Over in my Subaru world my Tuner did a Tune on a stock '07 STi engine (known to have pistons that crack ringlands) swapped into a '02 WRX.

Big Turbo on stock injectors but with a Water Meth injection setup to keep the detonation at bay. Freaking car went mid 10's on a stock cast piston long block

He has since sold the engine which is still running in someone else's car (smaller turbo for street drivability) to this day. He has since built a Forged engine for the car that has made in the 828 WHP zone now

However you can make that kind of power on a cast Mark engine. It's just how many times you expect it to make that kind of power is the question

horsepower = $$$$$$$$$$$$. as has been said there are post on here use the search and they will give you the information. good luck. it will be cheaper to buy one(mark) that someone has started to work on and has put the money in the parts.

450 crank, 400 wheel is basically the safe horsepower limit for the mark viii engine. anything above that, you are running on borrowed time.

if so... yes. a healthy 4R70W will be fine for 450 hp.

a few people have 10 and 11 sec 1/4 mile times with jmod'd or shift-kit'd 4Rs.

you would be ahead to have it checked out and jmodded. also get a 93 or after market driveshaft. check out 94m5 web site to see some of our mods . we going to be putting in 31 spline half shafts, cobra hub swap and better bushings in the rear. working with a friend from Illinois on the bushings. doing some testing on them.
