Wow I paid just over $450 and I have the most complex color to create (the blackest black) outside of a pearl or metallic and I also have pearl purple ghost flames that took twice the materials over a regualar paint job (fine line, wax & grease remover and way more mask/paper/plastic) It came out absolutely flawless after wetsand/buff.

I even had to pay for the U-pole 'glass sealant (and the $60 gun for it) to keep the chemicals from seeping out of the glue in my hood, ..gen 1 of course.. and I had to redo it because I didn't use it the first time and these hoods are way fussy once you hit the factory gel coat. :(

I guess I did it in a friends body shop so I didn't have to pay for any surplus. Mixing paint in house is always the way to go too cause you can mix any color in the world without paying anywhere near 350/gal.

I ran across a couple things, man I guess paint can get pretty expensive afterall! Lol I got way lucky at my shop I guess. :D

yea, my wife said I can only keep one, so the 98 is getting the stereo, but we are changing a few things around. Should be sweet. Where is the LVC central meeting going to be held and when? I should be there, hopefully with the completed system in it.

Yea, we really need to do this. There are a lot of people on LVC. I am going to work on somethings. I wll post some updates in the Central Plains Chapter page.

That's a tough question, it seems like everytime I see a mechanic is ~$1000...
I bought it from my Son last August for $1500, took it in for new balljoints, then a lower control arm and alingment,... (seems like a couple others in there).
I smucked a lamppost in March, had the body shop fix some rust around the Moonroof, so along with the $500 deductible, cost me a Grand...
30,000 miles @~26 mpg @~ $2.75/gal.
That must be about 10 changes of oil @ 6qts. Mobile1 @~$6/qt.
Now I need brakes, (thought I could get by Cheap,(they had the Ceramic pads for ~$100, Semi @~$50, or the Sure Stop pads for $20..., I tried them,... good for about three weeks, and a nasty black wheel.)
At the moment I figure, new rotors/pads, new front air struts, and a torque converter...

Starts and runs great! I'm still waiting for this car to have a major problem. I've had it for over 2 years, driving to work daily in L.A.
Of course the Rear Air bag leaks. I just re-start it. I'm seriously considering a conversion kit to remove the air suspension. Any recommendations as to which one and where to have it done?
Thanks.
