I have read all the door rattles posts and found out about the metal guide strip and how to rivet it back in place to the bracket that is on the drivers door. What I have not been able to find is at one end of the window anti rattle strip there ia a kind of clip that obviously slides up on to something before you screw the bracket back to the door? I cannot find where this attaches within the door at the top? Anyone????:(

The guild for the rear part of the glass?

I took mine out when I replaced my door handle thinking that was the problem and it was not. Hasnt messed anything up and its been out for a couple of months!

Im glad that this is a common problem. It drives me nuts! The loud clunk sound that it makes is really embarrassing. People probably think "Wow what a clunker".

So no one can or will tell me what the clip at the top of this window glass channel slides on to? I have the bracket riveted to the channel, there are the rivets heads sticking out inside the channel hopefully they are not going to rub the edge of the glass.

Its been 2 years so I don't recall but you could just look at the passenger door

+1, it helps if we know exactly which piece you're talking about (pics) or just take off the other door panel and look in there...then make the other side look the same

Ok I decided to try and fit it in using the bracket as my guide. I found using a flashlight what appeared to be where the clip slid on. I tried the window up & down and the window slides down in the channel as it should. So that is fixed. Anyone have a door trunk lockout button and key for it they want to sell?
