how do you remove the "coolant bypass hose"?

Im talking about the part that the water outlet bolts to. I can't seem to get it away from the plastic tube that is connected on top of the engine block.

I don't think that is the part he is talking about, but then again, I'm not sure what he is trying to describe.

If it's the part I'm thinking of, then it's the four bolts and pull it off the elbow's O-Ring.

thanks toomanytoys. I guess i didn't search hard enough. When i took the throttle body off i noticed plenty of oil in the intake. I know the 'sdon't have pcv valves but ill search and see if this is common and the solution.

The 3.9 doesn't have a PCV valve, but it does have a PCV system still.

You might check to see if you have excessive blow-by (worn out rings).
