Does anyone has a DIY tutorial about removing the headlights from a 1999 Conti ? I want to change one of the bulbs , it gives a poor lightning , and i also want to clean the window of one of the headlights , it's kinda dirty on interior ... maybe with some polish for plastic/glass.

please help me.

Removal

WARNING: The halogen bulb contains gas under pressure. The bulb may shatter if the glass envelope is scratched or if the bulb is dropped. Handle the bulb only by its base. Grasp the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass envelope.

NOTE: The headlamp bulb should not be removed from the headlamp until just before a replacement bulb is installed. Removing the bulb for an extended period of time may affect headlamp bulb performance. Contaminants may enter the headlamp where they can settle on the lens and reflector. Never turn on the headlamps with the bulb removed.

NOTE: Due to varying wattage ratings and resulting current draw, certain aftermarket headlamp bulbs may cause the lighting control module (LCM) to shut down the short circuit protection resulting in the low beams becoming inoperative. Verify that the bulbs meet Ford specifications.

Remove the headlamp assembly. Refer to Lamp Assembly—Headlamp in this section.
Rotate the headlamp bulb cover counterclockwise and remove the cover.

Disconnect the headlamp bulb electrical connector.

Rotate the headlamp bulb retaining ring counterclockwise and remove the ring.

Remove the headlamp bulb.
Pull the headlamp bulb straight out using a gentle up and down rocking motion.

NOTE: Be sure the headlamp assembly is positioned correctly with the alignment pins inserted into the proper holes and onto the ribs of the reinforcement.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
