Ok guys, last night I spent about 40 minutes using the "search" function on LVC & came up empty handed which pissed me off because I know I've seen it on here somewhere....

I want to install the seat bottom from my spare black interior onto my current driver's seat. The one I have currently has a small hole in it & its driving me crazy. How do these seats come apart?

where'd you get the gauge pod?

i put a new seat track in my car. wasn't hard. just flipped it over and started unbolting things until it came loose. had to have someone hold the seat back in place while i bolted it back on though.

Believe it or not that guage pod has been with me since 2000. It was in my T-Bird (made for the 89-97 T-Bird), then it was in my truck (I made it fit, lol). I took it off of my truck & put it on my '93 as well. When it came time to sell my '93 I simply swapped pillars from this '97 to the '93. So that black '93 now in Colorado is wearing the original pillar from my black '97. :D

As for the shape, they are not IDENTICAL to the T-Bird but they are so similar that you can barely notice the difference.

Did gman's pm answer your question? If not I can tell ya how.

He plans on assisting me. Problem is it's pouring here in Miami today. 60% chance of rain all day. Tomorrow looks like it's going to be a better day. Lets see if I can get this done tomorrow.

x3 exact same issue

I bought this car without the hole. I bought my prairie tan without that little hole. I bought my SVT-Lightning interior on the truck WITHOUT that damn hole...

All 3 of them have it. I've come to the conclusion is has to be weight related. Up until Feb I used to weigh 287lbs. I've always been big. I weigh 266 now which is still big. I think its our weight sliding back & forth getting in/out of the car that ends up opening that little hole. There's a metal piece right beneath it & ironically the same thing happens on the F-150 seats.

Just take the 4 bolts out, unplug a couple connections and bring it inside. :)

Wuss.

Gotta be careful what you put in your pockets...what kinda jeans you wear with specific buttons/snaps etc. And how you enter and exit the car. I've found my last two cars before this one I started denting the seat bottom with my wallet that I always keep in my back pocket...I started taking it out of my pocket with this car...and lo and behold..no dent.
