The stealership found a bad coil on #4 of my 2000 LS V8 and I'm getting ready to replace it as well as all the spark plugs. But I can't find a diagram showing me which cylinder is which. If I'm looking at the engine standing in front of the car, where's #4?

I was going to say sequentially, but I guess that woul,dn't be much help... :D

Is the V6:

Rear of engine (cowl)

3 6
2 5
1 4
Front of engine (grille)
(The above post modified for a 6)
Or is it completely different?

Number 6 is bad on mine and I'm PRAYING it isn't under the Intake Manifold!

If it's number 6, the one on the back right, then you don't need to remove the intake manifold. If it's one of the left ones, you gotta remove it. It's not hard to take it off, even if you don't need to remove it for the coil, you could remove the manifold and clean it really well with a carburator cleaner. While you are at it, change the spark plugs too. Will take you maximum about 2 hours.

so the V6 is numbered
left right
3 6
2 5
1 4

Whe looking at the engine?

So you odnt need to remove the manifold?

When looking at the engine.

So you dont need to remove the manifold when you're replacing coils 4 5 and 6?
