Couldn't resist this one, I took some pics, some not too good, but from these can you tell me what I need to get at first?

1985 Grand Marquis, 1 owner, 62500 orig mls, interior seats clean no tears or rips, engine pics reflect a 21 year old 302 (I am already on the wire over the lid). And yes, the rear was hit 10 years ago re-painted from pasgr. doors on back, he's 2-toned cept front and back not top & bottom!

Yall know respect ya and listen to ya so tell me what cha think.....

THANKS!! SMOOCHES!

I dig the new ride! Good purchase! Looks like the next Central Ohio Meet will include wrenching/polishing/cleaning/detailing on your car!

Doesn't simple green make an engine degreaser? Geno has a brand that he likes alot and wins shows with, PM him.

Boy does that car bring back memories... Nice job on the pics.

Powerwash that engine bay..nothin like gettin greasy!

That is a nice Merc Deb. I like it, good choice. Excellent daily driver. Gauranteed to last for many miles.

Debi, you might not have thought about a personalized plate for the Grand Marquis, but i thought of one for you ;) and it fits your other plate on TUX :D
Hope you like it ;)

I had a vinyl top on a 1980 Plymouth Grand Fury, I hand washed the vinyl top
can't remember what cleaner i used but it was one that wouldn't dry it out during the summer. I figured that you would like it ;) , but you're right i don't think the DMV would let that one thru, BUMMER!!!

Oh, change the PCV valve, too. That might be why you're getting a lot of oil in that breather element in the air cleaner housing. And of course, change that breather element.

Debi, i agree with all the recomendations you have been given, also an oil change, new plugs and wires, new distributor cap and rotor might not need it but you can't go wrong putting new on there and with summer coming on you might want to think about getting the radiator flushed out to get it ready for summer time.

In the same shot above, looks like there is a vacuum port on what looks like a PVC fittting that ought to be capped off too. It is behind the coil, by the first wire loom separater deally. [Black fitting]
Also the Heat "stove pipe" that connects the exhaust manifold to the bottom of the air cleaner housing snorkel. There is a flapper in there that allows heated air from around the exhaust manifold to enter the engine when it is cold, allowing the engine to warm up quicker.
