Hose kits.

Any body do any hose kits on the LS? I'm wanting to do some nice work inside the engine bay and so far I have painted my letters and the other design on my engine red and want some red hose kits to help compliment it.

I'm looking for the proper size kit if anyone knows what sizes I should ask for or where to find the sizes of the factory hoses.

WTF? Why would a hose kit make anything look cheap like all that APC :q:q:q:q. That was senseless and pointless.

If you think so, I want to dress it all up and get silver for the big hoses if possible and red for most of the small ones. But I don't see anything tacky about it if people paint the beauty covers "ALL RED" why not go with a more uniform look. Allot of cars that use dress up in the engine bay or even hoses for a real purpose use red.

IMO it looks better than allot of other colors, I got a scheme going. I got silver emblems with red stars on a silver car and I want a small amount of red in some strategic type of places. I just think along with the all red tail lights and all my other ideas for red it might look good. I wanna paint the engine cover silver with red lettering and such anyway so I think it would turn out pretty "UNIFORM".

But I'm not going to over do it so I doubt it will look tacky at all. Red is a bit more of a customary color for this type of thing I think.

You should take a look at QuikLS's engine. I know he went with blue hoses. And I know that Autozone sells packages of hose covers. If thats what you were looking for.

Thanks, I have been wanting to look at some pics of his car but I keep contemplating on doing something on my own.

I am looking at straight up hoses and not covers tho. Now covers will probably be tacky just for the fact that they are just covers and not the real deal.

Maybe a deep red would be nice, I bet silver would look sweet. Or those stainless steel braided ones.

I wish they made a hose kit like the Samco Sport kit for the Evolutions or the Subarus STIs that come in a pretty awesome blue or gunmetal color which is a dark grey or for you Eliot RED...

I don't know about that whole colored hose idea... I think it's somethink like that LV interior..

The only LS engine bay (except for Quik's) that looks ok is the 03+ V8 and if it has the shock covers installed. Other than that I think all of the other stock ones look like crap.

Now this is what an engine bay in a sports sedan suppose to look like.

I dont think its anything like that at all, look at all the cars that have some dress up under the hood from hot rods to muscle cars and some other luxury cars. The LS engine bay is pretty ugly but somethings can be done to make it better and thats what I want to do.
