Did I read this right the 03 lincoln ls has more horsepower than a 03 mustang gt with a 4.6 in it. Basically up till they came out with the 3 valve 4.6.

The LS has 20 more horsepower and 16 less lb.ft.

did you dyno both cars or are you basing that on how they felt?

(lets not forget that the mustang is a few hundred pounds lighter)

I thought that I read in an old car and drvier that when the Gen II LS came out it could outrun an auto Mustang GT.

i wouldn't say out run, but I've ran a stock 98 auto convertible and i finish a car or two in front every time, ive also ran a 02ish coupe a couple of times and they always beat me by about the same.

The convertible adds weight, so I could see why there would be a difference between the two.
