on some cars, the gear ratio reduction causes cruise control to no longer work, does anyone know if that's the case with 93-98 Marks?

thought on this piece. would it work for ours. i think i saw somewhere that ours is 8 tooth and this one is for 7 tooth

I know ive seen this link on the forum. just cant find it. any one know if these work or not?
