So I put in the AVIC 900BT to go with my custom 2 x 12 3.6 cu ft sub box.
Added the 3" tuned flared port tubes to the box as some members had suggested.
Ran new wires to the doors and replaced the door speakers with Infinity Kappa 6 x 8's rated 100 watts rms each.
Picked up a Soundstorm 4 channel 400 watt rms amp to power the Kappas.
Connected the FR and FL speaker outputs from the head unit to the console speakers right to left and left to right.
Put the mike by the ignition key.
Almost got everything done except the switch wire and steering controls so I'm just listening to the console speakers tonight.
I'm a little unclear about how to hook up the SWI-PS.
The 03-06 LS instructions at their site say to only use the white wire and hook it to pin 18 of a connector
http://pac-audio.com/swixprogrammin...earch=Lincoln&Submit2=+Search+Vehicles&ID=249
but I can't seem to find this connector let alone locate pin 18.
The switched positive and ground are pretty clear.
Not quite sure what they mean here with cutting or not cutting loop wires.
My car is an 04 and reading through the AVIC threads here doesn't give me much real information to go on.
I see others have installed this without too much difficulty and some help here would be appreciated.
I have the panel below the steering off right now and would like to finish this up tomorrow.
I also grounded the parking brake wire however when it booted up the unit said it detected the wire was not hooked up correctly.
Does it need to be grounded or does it need to be hooked to a switched positive.
Thanks in advance for your help AVIC guys.
