Hooking up CD player question

I was looking to hook up an Alpine cd player this weekend but beforehand I was wondering if my steering wheel controls would still work? If not, is there an adaptor of some sort to make them work?

I'm pretty sure it depends on what receiver you get. When I switched out the HU in my F150, the harness that plugged into the truck had a wire for steering wheel controls even though I don't have them.

Well it's an alpine 9884 single din.

I imagine you will need an adapter. Search Item# 127SWIJACK on www.crutchfield.com. This should be the adapter you need.

No they will not work. What you have to do is find out if they make a interface that works with the unit you are putting in. If they do, then buy it and follow the instructions on installing it. It's not that hard. Check sonicelectronix.com for starters.
