I know its been done but can anyone tell me how much work it would be to put the 03/04 top components on my MKVIII?
I have a freind who has a cobra and he is selling the heads, and the blower to me for cheap. He upgraded to some better heads and a KB blower, is it worth it or should I go with the vortech? His parts are way cheaper and Im on a budget what do you think?

It's possible. I've seen it done to a 96 Cobra. You're gonna spend a lot of time and money, so be prepared. The front accessories, brackets, and other supporting components really total up. I used to have a favorites link where a guy in a 97' Cobra had pictures. You're gonna need a lot of stuff...

easy way....heads, front cover, accessories, mounting brackets, lower pulley assy, injectors, fuel pump, and a way to tune/control it all.

hard way.....make the 03 cobra blower work.....my way.

You mean like my Mark? :D :D :D

Thanks for the input guys this is some thing that I was thinking about ever since I bought it, but I have to get it back from the bodyshop first. Its been there for a month now and Im starting to getting pissed. I had a new door put on and had repairs done to the quarter panel, by this monday a so-called 3 day job has turned into a whole month job.

trust me have a motor built or build you motor to use it if you really want to have some HP. 03/04 cobra motors are all their cracked up to be.

and be prepared to have a stronger transmission installed because from experience thier not HP friendly. Thats the thing thats holding me up from track times. plus the tune. uuuuggghhhh

yeah I was thinking about also just going with bolt-ons, and run her til she blows then have a motor built.
If i could really afford it I would just go with the crate cammer from ford and be done with it. Its the total package now all I need is the 14k to buy that badboy.

[do u have any sort of write up on installing that bad boy in the mk8????

From the pics you have showed me it looks pretty complicated, but I bet it made it all worth it when you crank it up for tand if you dont just let us know how it goes.he first time. The project sounds nice you should put the install on the site step by step. That would make for some good reading,

Sorry no how to guide or anything. I've been badgered for plans ever since i put up pictures. I've had more than 1000 PM's on boards, phone calls etc. If you look for project viagra you find all the info that is availible. I've had some financial setback and started a new job that takes me out of the country alot so hopefully I can get back on my feet and finish the drivetrain this winter.
