Hey fellas looking for some help. I was t-boned earlier this week towards the rear of my bad ass 00 LS v6 :D. It looks like just the rear driver side lower control arm is broken. I have a replacement, but don't know if I need a coil spring compressor to replace. Anyone have instructions on how to replace the control arm? THANKS LVC

Hate to say it, but have your insurance take care of it.......that's why you have it, let them go after the SOB that can't have basic insurance.

Good luck with it.....I feel for ya. I had a bit of hit on my LS in a parking lot and have a scuffed up door and molding.

Defintely let a shop check it out. The LS is a unibody, no frame. If you took a hit hard enough right on the wheel to break a control arm it could very well have warped the body. It's probably fixable (frame/unibody machines have come a long way) but if you start making repairs yourself and later find that it's more than you can handle, you're boned. I assume that you have the tag number and driver's information of the guy that hit you since you know he's uninsured. My insurance company won't charge the deductible or ding my insurance rate so long as I can give them that information as I found out when my LS was damaged by a tractor trailer leaf spring that broke and tagged the passenger side front of my car.
