I don't power at either of my high beams, haven't really got around to looking at it yet but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem so I don't have to go crazy diagnosing it, I really don't care about the high beams I just want them to work. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

This might be a stupid question but have you pulled the switch backwards, instead of the forward push? It could be the multifunction switch going bad. I would have the car running and turn the lights on and push the switch forward and check to see if power is making it to the plug harness.

are you running stock bulbs or aftermarket? My HID high beams just went out because I had a ballast the went bad and was blowing the fuse in my aftermarket harness.

no i checked with a meter I wasn't sure if this was a common problem with these I guess I'll just have to look more into it.

I honestly don't know how the Gen 2's work as far as being fused. Seems like when they're on, your lows are also supposed to stay on. Maybe there is some kind of relay that the Gen 2 has or that could all be in the multi function switch. Mine had to be re pinned for my lows to stay on with highs.

Someone with a Gen 2 should have way better answers than me but it's almost sounding like it could be a fuse for the highs or a relay or the switch itself. No power is getting to the bulb plugs for some reason but I really couldn't say what that reason is. All I can do is guess.

I just looked up the manual for a 97 mark viii (someone already had it posted on here), and you have a high beam fuse for these cars. It contrlols that and your DRL. Here check this out http://www.manualowl.com/am/Lincoln/1997-Mark%20VIII/Manual/1493?page=197. It says its location 2, 15 amp mini, in the high current fuse panel box under the hood... Its page 198 if it doesn't take you there
