Where the hell can you mount one of those magnetic key holders on a 02 LS?
I cant find a place anywhere. I know its a dumb question but maybe someone here has a good spot.

Where do you live?? What color LS do you have? How many miles?

I need all that information to help you to find a place for your LS... oh, I mean to hide the key.

Anyways, try behind the rear bumper where that box of the spare tire is, between the resonators.

Instead of a hide-a-key get one of the key pads from lsconcepts. I am going to get one and stick it on under my windshield. This way i can access my car easily and not have this black bulge on my car.

I have used those glue on with Velcro key poches. They can be glued in more places than the magnetic holders.

Good places are inside the bumper covers and if you can get your fingers in there, the grill or under the hood near the window cowling.

Don't advertisse too much where you put the key, someone might read it who shouldn't. Just look around and under your car. Lots of spots should pop up.

Good Luck,

Jim Henderson

I have a 2000 and you can hide your key behind the hatch door on the passenger side of the grille. It's a great spot, but not sure if the 2002 has one.

on top of 1 of your mufflers...mine has been there for over a year now, and i use it frequently...never came up missing, lost, or fell off.

*or put it on the roof in the middle at the back and cleverly disguise it as a bmw antenna

im a big fan of behind the plate.
the only problem with the key pad is if the reason your keys are locked in the car is because your girlfriend was the DD and not only did she lock the keys in the car but she left the headlights on as well, then you really start to wish that you had a key hidden.

BTW why the hell would someone need to turn the lights on in the first place?

Don't your head lights turn off automatically after like 5 minutes or so when you use the manual light switch? I've tried to run my battery down by leaving every light on in the car including the headlights, and everything shuts off after a little bit. I figured it was a way to keep old people from getting stranded from leaving thier lights on overnight :D . As far as I can tell, you can't kill your battery that way. Just my 2cents.

or you can swallow the key every morning when you wake up, and in emergency well... you get the idea.

Put a key in your wallet.

My key is way to big to fit comfortably into my wallet. How big is your wallet? You must have deep pockets NYC.... or a purse. :p

But seriously. Those magnetic key holder things are great.... but I REALLY love my numeric keypad. I just wish it was invisible like the new ones on the MKS. There are pleanty of places to put them too.... just remember if you take your car somewhere (oil change) they will be able to see the underside of your car, so be sure it is well hidden.

And don't forget to tell us all where you put it....LOL

i hope other members don't know where you live because you just told them where your key is located.

You're wrong, rickztahone. Car thieves would never use the internet to find ways to steal cars! :shifty:

''Hi! Just bought an LS... i lost the keys and forgot the key code - need to know how to bypass the keypad and start the car... preferably in under 60 seconds... Also, where do you guys typically hide your keys?'' :p
