Hid relay harness

Hey guys I put the hid kit, an aftermarket kit that's been good on my truck. What I'm asking is do I need a relay harness. It didn't come with one but my (check exterior headlamps light) is on. Do I need the relay harness?

There is one wire that has to be snipped but right off hand, I can't remember the color. Or, you can just press reset and not even worry with it. Some people need a relay and some don't. I have dual HID's and no relay, no flickering or any other problem. Some do experience flickering bulbs and or one not coming on when first switched on. If you have those problems, then yes, you would need the relay harness.
