HID problem

Hey all. i bought the Xetronic HID Conversion Kit from Ken at LSK about a year ago. recently the river side light went out and around the same time the passenger side light started to dim. before i got the chance to use the passenger side bulb on the driver side ballast to check if it was a bad bulb, that light went out too. neither bulb works in either ballast. when i turn them on they kind of flicker and theres a buzzing/hissing sound that comes from them but they never turn on. anyone else have this problem with HID? i love them and would love to keep them going but with the price they ran me i dont think buying a new set every year sounds fun. is there somewhere to get just the bulb if thats the problem?

ebay sells hid bulbs...

Sounds like they aren't getting enough power when they start up, or the bulb just died.

In regards to them not getting enough power, can you try taking one of the bulbs, and one of the ballasts, and hooking it up directly to the battery to see if they fire up?

You find this problem a lot wit either the digital ballast or with the cheaper plug-n-play kits. May have to get some new bulbs and test it to make sure the ballast are working fine.

The bulbs have a limited life span. You can buy replacement Xetronic bulbs from LSKoncepts; they cost quite a bit less than the HID kits.
