Fcuking search turns up totally irrelevant info. 99.9% of the time so i have decided to start a new thread. i recently bought my 2000 LS6 5spd. and i would like to know y is it that one of my low beams do not remain on when i cut the fogs on, i find myself having to switch them on and off. both sets have digital ballasts 6000k. I understand this may have been covered already but the search funtion is useless. any help is appreciated, thx.

You're using Digital ballasts...that could be the problem...have they been getting wet or are the faulty? Just a guess...I have yet to transition to HIDs but it's a guess.....

i would say if one continues to work and they work fine when just low beams are on then maybe check your wiring, If its a plug n play kit one of the pins may not be fully inserted causing a weak ground. check all conections. if everything checks out im not sure

As far as water goes i assume the ballasts are sealed properly, it is a plug and play kit, when i use the low beams alone one light rarely shuts off on me (still annoying though) but when i cut the fogs on they all momentarily work then one of the lows goes out, its an ON and OFF process which never works. i was wondering if the wiring of the car is suitable for these amounts of current draws when the ballasts fire up.

The only time I ran into issues like that was trying to fire them up when the car wasn't running. Does it do this if the car is started?

Yea it does it while the car is on. i just checked all the fuses that have to do with the fogs and low beams and they are all good. If it helps this is what my HIDs look like http://www.hidkitswarehouse.com/hidshop/popup_image.php?pID=82 i didnt buy them from there but im sure they are the same ones.

My buddy used to own this car and he bought the kit from someone on here its a slim ballast kit supposedly digital this is what they look like. http://www.hidkitswarehouse.com/hidshop/popup_image.php?pID=82

i would give your battery a charge and see whats what after that, with pete having trouble when car is not running may mean that a strong battery or charge is needed, i would try that and if you have a hundered dollars laying around just buy a new battery.........

I would say switch to regular ballast. I was having problems like that with digital ballasts, swapped to regular ones and they have worked perfect ever since.
