hid color question need some input

I checked ddm and they're scale only showed up to a deep blue. I don't want blue. And I'm not getting my light for output. The frikkin lens is blacked out. Its for the look. Not output. That's y I have headlights

I put mine here on both side behind the headlights

i have 6k's in my lows and fogs, it is a lot better then the stock bulbs, i also get a lot of cars flashing me

The flashing is probably from your fogs. Putting HID's in a housing that is made for simple halogen lights can cause massive amounts of glare to on coming cars. It's also illegal. This has been talked about countless times on here and all around the net. I know many members around here have them, but just be careful how much you use them.

i dont see how they can make it illegal, i know what you mean about the glare, but it just seems retartded, plus i use my fogs all the time

Most of those cheap kits have small print that states they are usually for offroad use only. Many are not DOT approved either. Laws can vary by state and running higher temp bulbs (anything over 6K really) would make you more of a target for law enforcement. If you were to cause an accident not only would you be fined but your car would most likely be towed as a result, if the glare was the catalyst.

The basic premise remains though...putting an HID bulb in an incorrect housing is against FMVSS 108 regulations.

Not a fan of the pink or purple. Yeah there is a lot of glare with hids in halogen headlights. Thats one of the reasons why I got tint on the front windshield.

i just did a little researching online and couldnt find anything illegal about them in illinois, i could be wrong and may have missed something though

more of a target

I kno they're really gonna be watchin me. Jus yesterday on my ride from work I got followed by a cop who did a u turn right after I passed him. I guess it was cuz it was drizzlin and I had no headlights on, which made it easy to see my headlights r tinted

oh boy you are that kid with the purple lol i would of done 6k thats what i'm doin but your might look sick cuz you have black since i got white i'll go with 6k cuz if i went 30k i would look like those ricers in the hatch civics lol

AS far as where to mount the ballasts for the fogs- I put mine here:

They came. They got installed. They were on maybe an hour when I was on the highway (goin to jersey) and I turned them off when I parked. Went to turn em back on a lil while later, and only one comes on. The other jus buzzes and stays off. So now I'm sendin it back to get a new one

i forget why that happens but it's something that can be fixed.

So it may not be the ballast? Cool. Cuz I don't wanna have to wait another week n a half for my lights. Ima check it out tomorrow-if its not raining

Easy check. Swap the bulbs. Mine did that after a few months and it turned out to be the ballast. Same buzzing symptom.

thats cuz you gotta get a relay....if u dont...u will just keep burning out bulbs and ballasts until you do get it...its only like 20 bucks..

Will do. Do I need one relay per side? With what amp rating? And how do I wire that up? Now I'm a lil pissed cuz I gotta wait for this ebay dude to respond so I can get a new ballast. So I have one pink and one standard halogen fog

I didn't use one and since I replaced that bad ballast the lights have been going strong for a couple/three years now.
